Oh how the rain pours outside the window as I’m writing up this post and what better thing to do on a dreary day than to dream up pretty things to make. Sewing for my winter wardrobe is steaming along and while I’m working my way down the checklist, I keep getting distracted by new things on the internet! The theme for October has definitely been making some keep warm basics such as the Astoria sweater that’s awaiting this beautiful mossy green knit and perhaps a thicker Francois dress to layer with tights, a turtleneck then bundled up in a big woolly coat. I find the really welcoming thing about making your own clothes to be the ability to dream up endless combinations from hacking your own patterns down to adding small details that make each piece unique. While most of what I’ve shown here seem like more warm weather patterns, a little creative selection can certainly make these into winter wardrobe staples.
