Lise Watier says: Adding to its creamy formula, enriched with ceramides and concentrated ultra-black pigments, this mascara provides intense volume, an amplified curve and extreme length. It makes the lashes lustrous, supple and incredibly full. In a single stroke, the wavy bristles of the brush smooth and coat each lash for an eye-opening look. Paraben free. Ophthalmologically tested.
Now you all know my situation with mascaras, anything less than a waterproof formula do little for me so I haven’t tested this one extensively.
Aqua (Eau/Water), Glyceryl Stearate, Acrylates Copolymer, Montan Cera (Montan Wax), Stearic Acid, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Propylene Glycol, C12-16 Alcohols, Cera Microcristallina (Cire microcristalline/Microcrystalline Wax), Benzyl alcohol, Panthenol, Lecithin, Copernica Cerifera (Carnuba) Wax / Cera Carnuba, Palmitic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Citric Acid, CI 77499 (Iron Oxide), CI 77007 (Ultramarines).
Lise Watier says: With its lightly tinted and waterproof formula, this Colour Correcting eyelid primer visibly and instantly smoothes the eyelid. Worn alone, it evens out and corrects the colouring of the lid for a bare-skin effect. Applied before eyeshadows, it magnifies their intensity and holds them in place for 16 hours without fading. Dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested. Paraben free. Fragrance free.
Not a hit yet not quite a miss, I found this CC primer quite drying on the skin but did provide a slightly tacky surface for powdered eyeshadow. This also let the powders blend more evenly without any patchiness although I thought the Ombre Supremes served a similar purpose while being gentler on the skin. Plus I found the tint just a bit too dark for my NC15-NC20 skin tone if I plan on wearing a lighter shadow.
Isododecane, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Cera Alba (Cire D’abeille/Beeswax), Sodium Potassium Aluminum Silicate, Boron Nitride, Cera Microcristallina (Cire Microcristalline/Microcrystalline Wax), Quaternium-18 Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Silica, Talc, Mica, Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77742 (Manganese Violet), Ci 77491, Ci 77492 (Iron Oxides).
Created to dry to a soft, matte, powdery finish these potted cream shadows have plenty of slip and is very easy to blend over the skin. With 6 subtle nude shades to choose from, I find these work well as a sheer to medium intensity wash of colour all over the lid especially on days when you’re not in the mood for the fancy stuff. Because of the high silicone content, I do think they blend out just a bit too much and I have a hard time building intensity but for a minimalist eye this is as easy as it gets and with a good 4-5 hour lasting power as well. These also didn’t dry powdery (despite it’s claims) and powder eyeshadow went easily over top.

INTENSE WATERPROOF LINER PENCIL* | Chocolate Intense & Espresso ($22CAD)
With 8 shades ranging from everyday basics to marine blue and deep forest green, I love that the spectrum gives just enough variety to play with but all very work appropriate. The two shades I have (Chocolate Intense & Espresso) both contains a subtle shimmer that catches the light beautifully, especially on the bottom lash line. Now I wouldn’t say these are the most intensely coloured liners I’ve ever come across but they are well pigmented, glide on smoothly with medium/buildable opacity and they do set to a long lasting smudge resistant finish. Some heavy duty rubbing didn’t move these liners what so ever!
HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, ISODODECANE, SYNTHETIC WAX, POLYMETHYLSILSESQUIOXANE, POLYBUTENE, SILICA, HYDROGENATED POLYDICYCLOPENTADIENE, ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) BRAN WAX, HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, SYNTHETIC BEESWAX, ETHYLENE/PROPYLENE COPOLYMER, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRA-DI-T-BUTYL HYDROXYHYDROCINNAMATE, +/- CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), MICA, CI 75470 (CARMINE), CI 77510 (FERRIC FERROCYANIDE), TIN OXIDE.
The star of this collection, the Eyevolution Palette is a collection of four expressive shades all tinged with satiny metallic sheen. As with most Lise Watier quads I’ve encountered, the powders are velvety soft to the touch and apply well with both fingers or the included sponge tip applicator. The pink and pale golden yellow need the help of a base to really shine but the darker shades have no trouble going solo. Last power is easily a good 5 hours in the fall weather and I haven’t noticed any significant creasing in that time. What I really love about this spectrum is how sophisticated the colours look together whether you plan on wearing a simple look or a smokey look; the satiny sheen never looks overdone.
THE MAKEUP LOOK
Ombre Velvet Supreme (Taupe) | Eyevolution Shadow Palette (pewtered lavender & deep gray) | Waterproof Liner (Espresso) | MAC Lipstick (Ravishing)
I really felt this collection was both lush yet elegant and of course I couldn’t stay away from that intensely gorgeous purple. You’ll be impressed that there’s no liquid liner but instead I’m wearing the Lise Watier pencil in that rich espresso shade which brought just the right amount of intensity to this look. Debating a nude lip, I eventually decided on a brighter choice and instead pulled out Ravishing to tie thing together. Let me know how you feel about this eye – lip combo!
The Lise Watier Eyevolution Collection is in stores now until the end of October/beginning November so check in your local drugstore quick if you’re looking to snag a thing or two. The range is also currently available online at The Bay and in store locations across Canada.
