Befitting its name, this cleansing oil has a slight herbal/floral scent with an amazingly rich luxurious texture that leaves my skin feeling velvety and soft. Thicker in consistency than most cleansing oils I’ve used in the the past, this easily removes all traces of makeup and emulsifies beautifully into a milky fluid that splashes away. With a combination of sweet almond, grapeseed, jojoba and olive oil but not a trace of mineral oil, this would make very suitable product for sensitive skin. While this is the most expensive cleansing oil I have used to date, if you’re baseline is the Shu Uemura range then this is an absolute must try.
Ingredients: Prunus amygdalis var. dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Vitis vinifera (Grapeseed Oil), Simmondsia sinensis (Jojoba Oil), Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Oleate, Polyglycery-3-Polyricinoleate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Lavandula angustifolia* (Lavender), Pelargonium graveolens* (Geranium), Cedrus atlantica* (Cedarwood Altas), Citrus bergamia* (Bergamot), Cananga odorata* (Ylang Ylang), Matricaria chamomilla (Chamomile German Blue), Rosa damascene (Rose Otto)
Lovingly Pure Toning Water*

Housed in a frosted glass bottle, this toning water spray is an absolute gem with a truly mesmerizing Bulgarian Damask Rose fragrance that smells just like a lush rose blossom. Not the synthetic rose substitutes but an authentic floral rush that can only be found in a lush garden. Fast absorbing and lightly moisturizing, I mist my face right before moisturizer for a little extra boost and often reach for it for a mid day refresher. With no alcohol or glycerin, this is neither greasy nor drying, my favourite out of this whole kit.
Ingredients: 100% Rose Hydrosol
Price: Part of the Bare Basics 3 piece kit at $129 CAD / $69 CAD sold separately
Would I (re)purchase: No.
Labeled the Miracle Oil, this triple concoction of Rosehip, Rose and Vitamin E is a full bodied blend of skin healing and soothing ingredients with a slightly earthy and nutty aroma. I love the small and convenient design of the bottle with a dropper dispense and the ingredients seem to be of high quality in texture and scent. However, this product really comes down to how much you love facial oils and how well rosehip works with your particular skin type. Having used similar products in the past, I find my skin to be quite enthused with rosehip altogether and this was no exception. Nothing great, nothing bad. If you are finding this hard to absorb, try a quick spritz of the Toning Water and pressing the oil onto your face while still moist or mix this right into your nightly moisturizing cream.
Ingredients: Rosa canina* (Rose hip oil), Rosa damascena (Rose Otto), Natural Vitamin E

The Final Verdict
Made with impressive and pure natural ingredients, this Bare Basics trio showcased Evie‘s commitment to high quality, healthy living beauty products. The formulations are well thought out and have a luxurious feel with authentic aromas that are a pleasure to use. Prices range from accessible to premium and there are certainly a few gems in this line worth exploring. My top favourite is certainly the Lovingly Pure Rose Toning Water which would be a great in anyone’s daily skincare routine.
