Mini Haul | Saturday pick me ups

The Saturday Haul
Saturdays are usually my favourite part of the week, beating out Friday by an inch only because the sales at Shoppers Drug Mart start on the real weekend. For one, I finally waited long enough for the L’Oreal Caresse Shine Stains to get on the sale list and as I wasn’t in any rush, I swatched every single colour while deciding on my final picks. Usually being a lipstick girl, I’m smitten by these long wearing glossy colours and eventually singled out Infinite Fuchsia and Lillac Everafter to go into my basket. Rimmel lipsticks are also some of my drugstore favourites and with their flashy sale tag, I couldn’t just pass them by, so a neon bright named #620 Coral Queen from the Moisture Extreme Collection joined the stains. With an air of satisfaction at scoring some lovely lippies I luckily happened upon a lonely bottle of L’Oreal’s new Elnette styling spray on the clearance shelf. I’m a big fan of the hairspray and have been lusting over these ever since I saw their UK release (hellooo gorgeous Cheryl Cole!). The last stop for any shopping trip is an obligatory wander to the magazine wall to scout some fresh print. Originally eyeing a copy of Allure, I decided I wanted something a bit more substantial in text and went with Nicki on the front cover of ELLE but not before checking out the latest edition of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Ed which just reminded me that I should probably get myself out of the store and onto some more serious business.

Do you have a drugstore ritual?
What are your favourite things to do on Saturdays?

I'm terrible at drugstore 'rituals', I just wander in to buy one thing and end up wandering up and down aisles until I have a basket full of goodies! Really need to check out those L'Oreal Caresse Shine Stains soon. (:

I've been curious for some time about those L'Oreal Caresse Shine Stains, but I'm not quite sure which colour would suit me…Here in Germany there are only about 5-6 shades and they seem not quite my thing…But I'll have a look again and maybe find one for me, because they get really great reviews πŸ™‚

I'd love to see some scans of that magazine! Nicki Minaj puzzles me and it'd be quite interesting to know more about her, though I seriously question her sanity and her credentials to be an Idol judge, not everyone can be a “superstar”, Nic! :/ Even so, it'd be nice to see her without all the wigs and lenses and loads of makeup. No comments on the lipsticks because, you know, I'm a lip balm/lip gloss guuurl haha Have a great day darling xx

I think they are definitely in a category of their own and at this price point, it's worth trying out at least one. I've never been a huge fan of the way lip gloss wears because although it looks nice, they travel everywhere but this stuff really stays put while feeling light. None of that long lasting lipstick “paint” feel that cracks on your lips.I've also heard they are released with different names around the world. I wonder what they are called in Germany?
