Winter Skincare Crisis!

Back to Basic skincare
Hadalabo Shirojyun Skincare / SKIN & LAB: Mont Blanc Cream, Triple Action Essence

So it appears that my skin has had enough with me and decided to do its own thing. Most winters I resort to my “safe” products because although it’s not extremely cold here on the Westcoast, it is very windy and my easy dehydrated skin goes into hyper drive. I had been excitedly testing out the Skin&Lab products which I purchased over the summer but they were no match for these Canadian winters. They seemed better suited for warmer weather or those with oilier skin so it seems like I’m back to Hadalabo which I had given to my Mom so now I’m gonna have to sneak some back… The thing I love most about them is that they almost seem to form a barrier on my skin that shields it from outside exposure plus they’ve never irritated my skin and I can take them right up under my eyes too. I had been working on a live demo of my skincare routine steps but since I’ve switched back from Skin&Lab to Hadalabo products, I’ll have to re-film it. Just another day in the life of a beauty blogger.

What have been your winter time skincare must haves?

Hadalabo Shirojyun products are great for winter. I use the 'lotion' that looks like a toner, and I find is really helps to keep the moisture in my skin. The Canadian winter winds are worst here on the east coast.

Right now, I'm using HadaLabo Gokujyun lotion (with Hitachi Hada to emphasize the effets) and Suti Rejuvanating Oil (great product for repairing the skin). I also like Dr Hauschka Crème légère à la rose (Light rose cream in English i think ?) and Tata Haper Repairative Moisturizer (I got a tiny sample but this stuff is so good ! I would like to buy it, but so expensive :/)I go to London in January, so I could buy some natural oils there ! Few natural oils are sold in France (or it's just too expensive like Darphin's one)

My current skincare includes Hadalabo too.I have the moisturizing lotion but for meI think it's not enough so I have to dab onsome moisturizing cream. I'm not sure if I can just use HadaLabo toner + lotion alone.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not “canadian” enough as I don't jog out in shorts/t-shirt in the snow. I don't freeze well! I do feel like even just switching in the toner helped boost up my hydration.

I adore NUXE! I think they are made in France? But yes they are definitely on the expensive side. I think I even used the Dr. Hauschka oil moisturizer before for balancing the skin. Hope you'll bring back something good from London, drop by and let me know what you got!

Ooooooo! Collection2000 concealer and Figs & Rouge lip balm! I've heard so much about those two from bloggers/vloggers. If you don't already know, “Feel Unique” is a UK beauty site that sells a bit of things you can't get elsewhere and they have free international shipping. I browse around there sometimes but I've yet to purchase anything, just nice to see what they have there that we don't.
