Skincare: What I’ve been using the past few months

Summer came quite late this year and was cooler than most times. Here’s a look at what I had been using throughout this past spring and summer, many of which I will continue to carry through to the fall to use up the bottles before breaking into my winter items.

  • Neutrogena | Waterproof eyemakeup remover
  • Neutrogena | Makeup removing towelettes
  • Marcelle | 3-in-1 cleansing milk
  • NUXE | Micellar foaming cleanser with 3 roses
  • JuJu Aquamoist | Whitening wash foam with vit. c.
  • Clarisonic | MIA
  • Tony Moly | Floria Whitening capsule essence | reviewed
  • Skin79 | White radiance skin reviving cream | reviewed
  • Caolion | Where is Pore? Pore minimizing mask* | reviewed
  • Kiss My Face | Vit A & E Ultra moisturizer | reviewed
  • St. Ives | Apricot scrub
  • PMD | Microdermabrasion kit* | reviewed

Neutrogena, St. Ives and Kiss My Face products can be found in your local drugstore. Marcelle is available through your drugstore or from their online boutique. Nuxe can be found in Shoppers Drug Mart or London Drugs in Canada and via online websites internationally. Caolion is available internationally through Wishtrend online. JuJu can be found from SaSa online while Tony Moly and Skin79 can be found through eBay. PMD is currently available through their online website.

I still love them but I like trying out different things once in a while (or else I wouldn't be able to keep sharing new things with you guys). Plus I gave my bottle to my Mom a while ago because she needed something to use, lol.

Perfect timing! I need some skincare advice ;)I'm still searching for a good cleanser to use with my Clarisonic. I need a gentle foaming cleanser that gives a lot of “slip” because even though I am barely touching my brush to my face, my skin can feel a little raw in places before I get all my BB cream off. :(I tried switching to the Delicate brush, but the issue seems to be that the 'milky' cleansers I use just aren't providing enough lubrication when I clean. I need FOAM! Trouble is, foam usually means stripping the skin, and my skin is already very dehydrated (but not nautrally dry, it's combination-oily) and acne prone from congestion/sensitivity. Any suggestions? I'm really tempted by the Holika Holika egg soaps, but I could just be lured by their cuteness … ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Are you using the full 60s cycle with the Clarisonic? While it's meant to be used as a makeup removing tool/cleansing tool, I prefer to take my makeup off first (milky cleanser, cleansing oil etc) before using the Clarisonic, that way I don't have to scrub as long since my makeup is already gone. Also, if it's being too tough on your skin you may want to step it down to every other night/day.For a foaming cleanser I think Lancome makes some fabulous ones that are quite creamy, I used them quite a bit before getting hooked on the Shiseido Perfect Whip (but the Shiseido might be too dry for you).

Thanks for the reply. :)I use either a makeup remover wipe with Cetaphil on it (or on my hands), or a creamy lemon cleanser from Eminence, to take off my makeup before I use the Clarisonic to get a deep clean. It still takes the brush (60s) to get all the makeup off, despite all my efforts, and sometimes I *still* get pigment on my toner pad! :oI find that I need to use the Clarisonic (or an exfoliant) every day because my skin has such a high turnover that it gets congested and dull with skin flakes everywhere. The problem is when I combine an acne-type foaming wash with the brush- it's just too much. Is there such a thing as a moisturizing foaming cleanser?
